I was a HUGE FAN before we were friends. Duane is known for movies that I love such as PULP FICTION, FEAST, HALLOWEEN 2, THE DEVIL'S REJECTS, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3 and so much more! A film he wrote and directed TOGETHER AND ALONE was one of the inspirations for this project.

Keith Brooks - IMDB Profile

Another member of THE WALKING DEAD family! He tried to do some terrible things to Carl which I won't mention here, lol. Keith is also known for STRANGER THINGS and RENFIELD. Keith and I have worked on several projects together and I always knew I would write something specifically for him as he is a truly talented actor.

Sometimes you just get lucky. After I sent my screenplay to Duane Whitaker he told me he knew the perfect actress to play the part of Kim. He told me she was an amazing singer and actress and I had to take a look at her. After her reading it was obvious this was the perfect actress for the role! I can't wait to see her bring the part of Kim to life!

In case I haven't told you enough about myself already I have been acting since the 90's doing theater at Anderson University and then going on to make my own indie features. Then onto THE WALKING DEAD and other shows like RECTIFY, MACGYVER and ONE TREE HILL. I also wrote the screenplay's for CHOP and PAWN SHOP CHRONICLES. ONCE UPON A TIME IN MACON is a Full Length Feature Comedy/Drama Film starring Keith Brooks (The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Renfield) Duane Whitaker (Pulp Fiction, Feast, Devil Rejects) Adam Minarovich (The Walking Dead, Pawn Shop Chronicles, Rectify) and Daniel Roebuck (The Fugitive, The Munsters, Final Destination) that touches on the subject of OCD and how our star learns to live with it.

The Story

Our story focuses on a man named Keith. Keith has suffered from different MOTOR TICS his entire life but over the past few years he's developed an extreme compulsion to TAP people when he becomes the least bit stressed. Needless to stay he keeps to himself as social situations can be awkward. He metal detects for Civil War Relics as a form of therapy which calms him down.


But our beloved Keith meets a girl. He likes her. A lot. And she likes him and his life is finally starting to have some meaning UNTIL his Father gets out of prison. This sends Keith into a sheer panic and makes his condition ten times worse. Can our boy deal with his past issues and make this relationship work or is he doomed to spend his life metal detecting alone in the fields of Macon Georgia?
